To return your products to TJ Maxx, you just have to provide the receipt and the product in unused condition.

It doesn’t accept goods that are washed or used and in an unsellable condition.  TJ Maxx returns are not cheap, though.

Returns by mail are charged with return shipping charges unless the merchandise is received in a defective or damaged state. It also costs a restocking fee of $9.99 to the customers.

As per the return policy, the goods bought online can be returned through mail and in-store; however, store purchases can’t be returned by mail.

Return to a Local TJ Maxx Store

The items purchased offline can only be returned to the local store.

Even for online purchases, this is a better option, as it helps to avoid shipping and handling charges of approximately $9.99. Just follow the following simple steps:

  • Visit the customer desk at your nearest TJ Maxx store.
  • The customer representative would check the items and receipts for eligibility. For online purchases receipt or shipping confirmation, email would work.
  • In case you lost the receipt, show them an original photo ID, and write them down your name, signature, and address.
  • After this, the refunds would be credited to your original form of payment or merchandise credit on the spot, although it might take a few days for the bank to refund the amount back to your account.

Ship your return through Mail

The items purchased online can be returned to TJ Maxx if it reaches the warehouse within 40 days from purchase. Follow the below steps for return through mail:

  • Every item that is shipped to you by TJ Maxx contains a return shipping bill. To return, pack the items in original packaging and attach the return label.
  • Take the package to postal services for delivery.
  • If the products reach within 40 days, you would be paid the paid amount less the shipping fee of $9.99. In case the goods each after the assigned period, you will get store credit for the same amount.

Returns through Paypal

  • To a local store: If you bought any TJ Maxx item with Paypal, you’ll get your refund in the form of a merchandise credit.

Holiday Return Policy

TJ Maxx supports its customers in the holiday period and extends its return policy for purchases made between October 15th, and December 24th may be returned through January 23rd. After 25th December, normal return policy would apply.

Exchange Policy

TJ Maxx does not provide an exchange facility for online returns or returns by mail. The simple reason for this is the ever-changing inventory of online range. If you badly want an exchange, you would have to return the item by mail and purchase a new product.
