The period for return – 45 Days
In case you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return within 45 days of the original shipment date. In case you crossed the return window you will be at the store’s discretion.
Terms of Returns
- You can return goods only if they are in unworn condition without any damage or alteration.
- You must include hangers, dust bags, hang tags, shoe boxes, eyewear cases, and gift boxes.
- All valid returns are credited in the original form of payment.
- Return shipping fee is charged – $5.95 for the US, $10.95 for Canada, and $25.95 for Australia.
If you are returning a product after say 90 days, you would be eligible for late returns, which is subject to a partial refund of 50% of the original sales prices only.
On your account, this would appear as ‘late-return fee’. Also, this is only if the customer care representative agrees to the exchange. So make sure you have a valid reason for missing the 45-day window.
Exceptions to the Return Policy
Nordstrom Rack takes almost everything back, whether it is apparel, footwear or accessories (including bags, sunglasses, leather goods, jewellery, and watches). But, Nordstrom doesn’t allow returns for refund or exchange of certain items, enlisted below:

Return to a Local Nordstrom Rack Store
The items purchased can be returned to the local store. Just follow the following simple steps:
Step-1: Collect documents related to your purchase. These include:
- Receipt or invoice
- Original Packaging
- Original form of payment (e.g. credit card used to make the payment)
- Even if you lost your receipt, your transaction can be tracked using the credit card number or other details. In case that too doesn’t work out you can always return your products by providing a valid government-issued photo ID, name, address, and signature
Step- 2: Visit the customer desk at your nearest Nordstrom store along with the products to be returned (Click here to locate your nearest store).
Step- 3: Reach out to the customer care representative at the store. The representative would evaluate the items for eligibility.
Step- 4: Once approved, you will get the payment back in the original form of payment, immediately.
Note: As soon as you return an item, you can’t buy it again immediately. So, be very careful while making that return as the exchange wouldn’t be that easy.
Mail returns at Nordstrom Rack
The items purchased online can be shipped to any Nordstrom Rack store. You can send in your products using the shipping label provided by the Rack itself. On average, it takes 7-10 business days to process your return and get a refund.
Simply visit their account page and sign in to make your return. Just make sure you have checked for eligibility for the return.

Refunds at Nordstrom Rack
Nordstrom Rack provides refunds in the original mode of payment i.e. in case of payments made by credit card, you will get the refund in the same account within 14 business days.
Most probably it would be reflected on your next statement, depending on the issuing bank and/or billing cycle. There are some cases, listed below, where you will be refunded in the form of Nordstrom Gift Card:
- Returning a gift
- Paid through a gift card or Nordstrom Notes

All store returns would be refunded in the applicable spot on the spot. If you are returning by mail, the refund may take around 3-5 working days to reflect in your account.

Gift Return Policy
If you receive a gift bought from Nordstrom Rack, you can return it in exchange for in-store merchandise credit.
Note: You can’t redeem your Merchandise credit(which you got in store) onnline.
