Broadly, Macys return policy can be divided into 2 categories – With or Without Sales Receipt.

  • Returns with Receipts – Here, you can get an immediate full refund in the original mode of payment.
  • Without Receipt – In this case, most of the time Macy’s can track your purchase via your credit card, return label, packing slip, or even a registry number. If even that doesn’t materialize, you can still get store credit equal to the lowest sales price for the item in the past 180 days.

Store credit may be in the form of an EZ Exchange Card (used like a Macy’s gift card online or in-store) or Merchandise Certificate (for in-store use only).

Return them through a Mail

Only online bought items can be returned via mail, in-store purchases are not eligible for this. Follow the below steps and return your goods easily.

Exchange Policy

Items purchased in-store can only be exchanged at a store. However, online purchases can be exchanged both online and offline. 

The department will first process your return and then provide you with credit to place a new order at the current price. So, if the price of an item has increased since you bought it, you would have to pay the new price.

The process to exchange is similar to any normal return with all the rules and regulations applicable as it is.

Macy’s Holiday Return Policy

Hi Carolyn,

Due to increased safety measures, returning of orders may be temporarily delayed beyond the standard times. Also, Macy is processing the returns at a slower speed than normal due to increase in its traffic and pending returns.

As said earlier, the returns are either suspended or been delayed beyond the normal times. I am afraid you might not return your order within a week. However, I could recommend you to place a new order and return the present order as and when the situation gets any better.
