You can replace your purchase or obtain a refund in the form of a store voucher if you don’t have a receipt. The amount of your return will be equivalent to the product’s lowest selling price in the previous 45 days.

JCPenney Return Process
Broadly, the return policy is divided into 2 categories – With or Without Sales Receipt
- If you have the Receipt – You’ll be able to easily return your merchandise even if the tags are not attached or it has been used a bit but properly washed. You will get a full refund. If you paid through PayPal, you’ll get a check to your billing address.
- If you don’t have the Receipt – You’ll only get a refund equivalent to the product’s lowest price in the last 45 days. JCPenney tracks your returns and if anything suspicious found, it can reject your returns. You can be asked to show valid ID proof for the following states US, Puerto Rico, Canada, and Mexico.

I think this method will be the easiest and quickest way to get your money back. You just need to take your product to the nearest JCPenney store (don’t forget to take the purchase receipt with you). Return through Mail

Step 1: Complete the ‘return and exchange’ form on the invoice and attach it to items to be returned

Warranty
Specific instructions for items being returned for reasons covered by a JCPenney or manufacturer’s warranty have been included in the package with each warranted item.

I went to take it back was informed the policy changed mid-June to 60 days When I called called customer service regarding how would I know policy change and they should honor policy that was in place at time of purchase I was told I should have looked on their website to see (like any one is going to check Pennys website every day to see if return policy has changed) so no refund in any form . By the way website policy is now listed as 45 days . So Buyer beware and dont but anything from Pennys.
and as an aside Customer service was a young person under 25 in a worn dirty Nascar t shirt . So much for a professional retail image.
Correction : I was told by phone customer service that policy on website was 45 dyas upon checking website it was 60 days. Also hate that no return policy was printed on receipt.
