GoDaddy Inc. is a Scottsdale, Arizona-based company that acts as a domain registrar that also provides web hosting services. GoDaddy offices from San Francisco to Belgrade, and can claim over 19 million customers. They have a domain marketplace called GoDaddy Auctions where you can bid on a domain. GoValue is just another tool which can determine the worth of any specified domain name.
This company is no stranger to controversy though, having faced backlash for supporting the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in 2011, as well as shutting down websites such as RateMyCop.com and having direct involvement in several animal rights violation scandals.
Going by the GoDaddy Refund Policy page, any products purchased from this company must be returned within the refund window in order to receive a refund. The following are the standard refund terms:

- Annual plans
Annual plans can be reimbursed if they are canceled within 30 days of purchase. If you would like to suspend a monthly plan and receive a refund, you must do so within 48 hours of the purchase date. Monthly plans are any plans that last less than a year.

GoDaddy is a web hosting behemoth that provides a plethora of tools to its customers, the most popular of which are domain registrations and renewals. So many their apps and resources have unique refund policies, so here’s a rundown of GoDaddy’s domain refund policy:
If you need to get your funds refunded for a GoDaddy service or product, you must take two steps:
- Cancellation of the product or service
- Contact customer service and ask for a refund.
- The first step in successfully reclaiming your money is to deactivate the product you no longer desire. Here’s how to go about it:
- Access your GoDaddy account.
- Navigate to the Renewals & Billing page.
- Find the product you want to deactivate and click Cancel Renewal. Confirm your cancellation by clicking Delete My Product.
- Select the checkbox that says ” To complete my request, I acknowledge that I must open the email” and click the “Yes, I want to delete” button.
- Open the email in your inbox and then click Yes, I’d like to delete.
- You will be returned to your GoDaddy account, where you should select Delete product.
If you qualify for a refund after canceling a product or service that you no longer require, you must contact GoDaddy customer service. Refund requests can only be initiated via the following methods:
Live chat – Go to the GoDaddy Contact page and, if available, click on the “Chat Now” box at the bottom of the page.
Phone – When calling from the United States, dial 480-463-8390 for free.
Each of GoDaddy’s product types has its own refund policy. And each policy has varying levels of strict rules. GoDaddy will only approve a refund if the terms and conditions outlined in its refund policy are met.
“Refunds will be processed 48 hours after the date of transaction for monthly subscription and 30 days after the date of transaction for annual plans”, according to GoDaddy’s standard policy.
Domain registrations and renewals can be canceled 5 days after the transaction finalizes for any new registrations, any auto-renewal plan on a multi-year contract, or all manual renewals.
For the first year of an auto-renewal plan, domain contracts, renewals, and registrations can be rescinded 45 days after the transaction date.
GoDaddy.com, LLC products may be reimbursed only if suspended within the refund period specified in this policy. Some products have different refund policies or requirements, including some products which are not eligible for a refund under any circumstances.
You may cancel a product or service at any time, however, a refund will be issued only if you request one with GoDaddywithin the given timeframe specified for the appropriate product if one is available at all.
There will be no refunds after the account is closed. If you are eligible for a refund, you must request one before your account is closed. You may close your account at any time, but you will no longer be eligible for a refund afterward.
Most GoDaddy services do not allow for a full refund once you’ve used them. However, sometimes in some instances, you may be eligible for a partial refund.
If you register for a product with an annual plan and you want to cancel after a short period of time, GoDaddy may reimburse you for the remaining term of the plan. In other cases, GoDaddy will not provide a refund if you use a product or service.
Refunds are really only available in under 30 days of purchase and would only be issued if manual malware removal was also not performed.
Does GoDaddy Give Full Refunds?

If you follow all of the rules and regulations and submit your refund request, it will be processed in under ten business days if it qualifies.
How soon you’ll see your funds refunded into your account also depends on the method of payment you used, as bank and credit card issuers take longer than PayPal refunds.
GoDaddy has a pretty generous refund policy, however, it has its limits as it does not extend beyond a 30-day period after purchase, and you also remove eligibility for a refund if you cancel your account beforehand.
