In all cases, the receipt is Mandatory. No receipt means no returns! Also, for GameStop, games for which shrink wrap is removed are considered to be opened.

How can you return at your Local Store?
The items purchased online or in-store can be returned to the local store. Find the store near you here. Read the guidelines explained above.
Make sure to take the receipt and the original packaging of the product.
How can you return through Mail?
If you made an online purchase through the GameStop website (click here) and would like to return the items in the same way, then the rules would change a little.
- Take out the packing list which you would have received with your order. It has to be sent with the item.
- State the reason for your return.
- Print out the return shipping label and stick it on top of the package to be returned. Include everything manuals, cables or any other accessories
Remember: Your return should be eligible. In the case of unqualified returns, you will not get the game or your money back. Therefore, it is always better to check with customer care regarding eligibility.
The shipping charges would have to be paid by you.
Refunds would be made in the original mode of payment. For in-store returns, GameStop would refund the amount immediately, whereas, for online returns, it will take around 10 days to complete the whole process.
An exception to Payment Mode: In case the purchase amount was higher than $150, you would get a check from GameStop Corporate within 14 working days from receiving the item.
Defective or Damaged Goods

Just inform the customer care within 30 days of the purchase, and the company would exchange it for an identical item. Any shipping costs incurred by you would also be subject to reimbursement.
