The period for return – 60 days
A customer can return most of the unopened items, in new condition, purchased from store or online to any CVS Pharmacy store within 60 days of purchase for exchange or refund subject to certain restrictions and requirements.
The CVS returns are managed by a third party to ensure correct and smooth refunds of items over the course of business.
How do you return your CVS products?
- To return your products to CVS you have to provide the receipt, your credit card used for making the transaction and a valid photo identification card. Shipping charges are not refunded unless the merchandise is received in a defective or damaged state.
Return to a Local CVS Store
The items purchased through the store can only be returned to the local store. To ensure smooth return of your items at the store, you can follow the step-by-step guide below:
Step-1: Check the eligibility of your products for returns as per the Return Policy.
Step-2: Present the required documents to the store manager for verification.
Step-3: The returns made would pass through a third-party verification process to monitor the returns.
Step-4: Once the verification is done, you will be provided with the refund amount in the form of original payment method (e.g., if you paid for the item using a credit card or debit/cash card, your refund will be made to the card you used to make your purchase).
In case the original receipt could not be presented, the return could be exchanged for the same item or refunded in the form of store credit.
Return to CVS through Mail
CVS return policy allows you to return your CVS items through mail also, irrespective of how you bought them – online or through the store. Follow the below steps for return through mail:
Step-1: Contact the CVS customer desk before returning the items by mail; this is done to ensure both the return and credit refund are processed hassle-free.
Step-2: Send the return items to the address mentioned on your product receipt.
Step-3: Once the third party verifies your credentials, they will process the return.
Step-4: The refund amount would be credited in the same form of payment method while purchasing.
Photo ID Requirements
CVS uses a third party to help prevent losses by detecting improper returns, and, except where prohibited, require a valid photo ID for all store. Without a valid photo ID proof, the returns would not be possible.
Your ID information may get collected by their third party processor as it’ll help them to validate your future returns. It also generates a return activity report a copy of which can be requested by calling on 1-855-837-3424.
